Conduct Policy

Beaverton Baptist Church welcomes all children to our Awana Clubs. We seek to minister to all who walk through our doors. In order to best serve all children, we seek to enforce reasonable age-appropriate classroom decorum. If a child is disruptive and detrimental to the class, appropriate verbal warnings will be given by the leaders. If behavior does not alter in a way that will allow class to continue, children may be removed from the classroom to sit with a leader in a public space. Should this type of behavior continue, parents or guardians will be asked to retrieve the child from club and the next appropriate steps will be discussed between the parent/guardian and the leadership of the Awana Clubs.
It is our goal to come alongside parents to help children learn and grow not only in the things of the Lord, but also in areas of life relating to others.

Permission to use Images and Video

I hereby grant permission for Beaverton Baptist Church to reord sounds, images, or video of my child or children registered for Awana Clubs. I also give permission for Beaverton Baptist Church at its sole discretion, to use these sounds images, or videos in publications (including print, websites, and social media platforms) owned by Beaverton Baptist Church in relation to the Awana program.

Liability Waiver

As the parent and/or legal guardian of the participant(s) stated below, have given my daughter/son permission to participate in the Awana program hosted by Beaverton Baptist Church (hereafter BBC), and I certify that he/she is in good health and can take part in all Awana activities. I fully understand that participation in the BBC Awana program may involve serious risks and danger that may result in harm, bodily injury and death. While particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce the risk, I acknowledge the risk of serious injury does exist.
In the event of an emergency or an injury occurs, I authorize the church volunteers to take all proper action and use the emergency service available at the nearest hospital if necessary. I understand my personal insurance will be used in this case.
I, for myself and on behalf of the participant hereby release and hold harmless against any claims, damages, and expenses BBC, and any of their directors, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of the premises used to conduct the event.
I certify that I have the legal authority to waive, discharge, release and hold harmless the released parties on behalf of myself and the below-named participant(s).
I certify that I have read this document in its entirety and fully understand its contents. In exchange for the opportunity to participate in BBC Awana program, the below-named participants(s) and I freely and voluntarily assume all risks of such hazards and release BBC from all liability for any loss regardless of cause, and claims arising participation. I understand that a typed full name constitutes a legal signature confirming that I acknowledge and agree to the above Liability Waiver.
I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENTS.
